World Tour of Music: A Steel Drum Celebration, The Music of Trinidad and Tobago

About This Event

Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach brings you  A Steel Drum Celebration, The Music of Trinidad and Tobago, as the culminating concert in the Fall 2024 World Tour of Music residency with Joe Leaman and LiamTeague on steel drums, along with other regional musicians. The national instrument of Trinidad and Tobago, steelpans have made their presence felt in world music. This concert mixes jazz, classical and pop music, as well as music of the traditional Caribbean cannon. Students from the Medina County Police Activities League after-school steel drum classes will participate.

Tickets are available at Buehler’s River Styx and Forest Meadow beginning September 1, or at www.ormaco.org. $15 in advance or $20 at the door.

VIP Tickets are available for $60.  This includes a pre-concert reception at the home of John and Lisa Burke with heavy appetizers, wine, and piano music, plus reserved seating at the concert.
